I love the beginning of the year...I love to make new goals and feel really inspired to keep them. I love making lists and plans on how I am going to do accomplish my goals. The one that has been on the TOP of my list every year since 3rd grad is to lose weight. And here it is 20 years later and it's still up there. GOOD LUCK TO ME!
This year is going to be a year of spiritual growth for me, as well. I have put anyting TOO spiritual on the back burner for the past couple of years...maybe 6 or so. I do attend Church regularly and fulfill my callings, ish...But as far as anything that is HARD to do like going to the temple or reading my Scriptures or praying regularly...not so much. And these are things that I really do want to be doing. I am just too lazy, that is probably why my laundry is NEVER done and I still have to that weight to lose. haha
On Sunday in Relief Society our teacher pointed out that the Relief Society has a deceleration, a theme...I did not know this. I knew that as a Young Woman we had a theme that we repeated every week and as a teenager those words really did stick with me and helped me to "stay the course" if you will. (:
It was this...

Young Women Theme

We are daughters of our Heavenly Father, who loves us, and we love Him. We will “stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things, and in all places” (Mosiah 18:9) as we strive to live the Young Women values, which are:
Faith
Divine Nature
• Individual Worth
Knowledge
Choice and Accountability
Good Works
Integrity
& Virtue
We believe as we come to accept and act upon these values, we will be prepared to strengthen home and family, make and keep sacred covenants, receive the ordinances of the temple, and enjoy the blessings of exaltation.
Now that I have been out of Young Womens for 10 years and have just learned of a new "theme" for me to be inspired by I am thrilled! I found comfort while reading this and I know that I will be a happier "me" and be more of the wife that I want to be and more of the mother that I long to be for my kids.
For those of you who were like me and didn't know that this existed...I hope you can feel inspired and loved like I did.
