This me...very pregnant! It is a bit out of character that I would post a picture like this on my blog, but I find necessary to share some stories that relate to the size of my stomach...
#1. A 7 year old girl was washing her hands when I walked into the bathroom. When I came out to wash my hands she was still standing there, staring at me. I smiled at her and she said, "Excuse me, how many babies to you have in your tummy."
#2. A woman at church asked my friend Jenny when I was due, Jenny said something like, "Anytime this week" and the lady said, "Or last month"
#3. "I'll be praying for you to deliver tonight...." I heard that like 1800 times today at church. I guess the dress I was wearing made me look miserable! Ha!
What are some of the stupid things people have said to you when you were/are pregnant??
When I was working and pregnant with Soph, I had a lady ask if there was a father that belonged to my baby that i was going to have. i never wore my ring to work so it must have looked as if I was having it out of wed lock or something. But don't worry I made her feel real stupid.
ReplyDeleteI was always asked if I was pregnant with twins, my dad bless his heart came over like a week before I had Kinley and was like we need to get you induced you are HUGE! I was like yes yes I know
ReplyDeleteOh Katie, where do I begin?! Last week at church I felt like I had been emotionally abused I was in near tears. Everyone told me how miserable I looked wich sucked because I felt great and I thought that I looked really cute that day. Then in R.S. our teacher passed out orange rolls as part of her lesson and the lady passing them around got to me and said, "I dont think you need one." Ouch thanks. At the pool I had a lady tell me "WOW you sure are pregnant. I never got that big, in fact when I went in to labor people thought I was like three months early." People have said "you have been showing forever when are you due?" when I tell them July 21st they reply "No!" Like they cant believe that I am not due any second. I get are you haveing twins alot. Anyway those are just a few of the stupid things people have said to me.

ReplyDeleteThen about a month ago I told my hairdresser I was on maternity leave and she asked when I was due!!! Freyja is 8 months old!
My last pregnancy (#4) someone asked me when I was due. I said "in a month" and they said "My God you are huge." Thank you. Do you think I don't own a mirror? :)
